AUSTRALIAN ATTITUDE OPPOSITION EVIDENT EXPERT OPINION SOUGHT CONFERENCE OF INDUSTRY By Telegraph—Press Assn— Copyright. Rec. 1.15 a.m. Canberra, Nov. 12. The Federal Cabinet to-night discussed the proposed restriction for two months of Australian exports of beef and veal to the United Kingdom. The Government’s opposition is evident, but it is felt the position could be clarified by securing the expert knowledge and opinions of the industry. Dr. Earle Page is calling the Meat Advisory Board to a confe- nee at Canberra as soon as possible.--in view of the likelihood of Western Australia desiring to be represented it is improbable that the conference will be held earlier than the beginning of next week.
