SUDDEN WHIRLWIND
TENNIS COURT VISITATION. AUROA PLAYERS SURPRISED. Coming‘s with dramatic suddenness during a service by a Kaponga player at a» tennis match at Auroa on Saturday, a whirlwind deflected the, ball off the court and threw the player at the opposite side of the net off his balance. The umpire’s stand was capsized, throwing the umpire to the ground, and a tin fence was levelled to the ground. The whirlwind departed as suddenly as it came, but not before it had lifted a tennis racquet cover lying nearby into the air fully 150 feet and carried it over 100 yards.
