TENNIS CLUB’S MEETING. APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Awakino Lawn Tennis Club was held on Tuesday. Mrs. J.. McNeice presided. The balance-sheet showed the club to be in a very healthy condition financial1 YThe election of officers resulted: President, Mrs. J. McNeice; hon. secretary, Mrs. H. J. Gray; committee, Mesdames N. Bryant, L. R. Jones, S. Butler, A. C. Richards and J. K. Black. Subscriptions were fixed as for last year, and reducible if paid by a certain date. Opening day was fixed for November 25, and the secretary was requested to extend an invitation to neighbouring clubs. Personal. Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Richards are the guests of Mrs. Guild Richards, “Taumatemaire.” Miss Alice Garcia, Mahoenui, was the guest of Mrs. L. R. Jones at the weekend. Mrs. W. F. Kelly returned to New Plymouth during the week.
Mrs. H. Purcell has returned from New' Plymouth. Mrs. A. Keay has returned from New Plymouth.
