GOLDEN WEDDING
MR AND MRS. EGARR. INGLEWOOD. Relatives and friends gathered at Hinau Street, Inglewood, on Sunday to do honour to Mr. and Mrs. D. Egarr, the fiftieth anniversary of whose wedding fell on Saturday. The company comprised members of Mr. and Mrs. Egarr s family, with a few friends. Mr. and Mrs. Egarr's eldest son proposed the toast of the bride and bridegroom, to which Mr. Egarr senr. responded. He gave some reminiscences of the old times, recalling among other things that on the day of his wedding he walked from Waipuku to Inglewood to be married. Mr. J. Hunter, a brother-in-law, Mr. Egarr's youngest son and the Rev. J. M, all spoke. Mr. Egarr was for many years a member of the Inglewood Borough Council.
