PAGEANT AT LONDON
FEATURE OF LORD MAYOR’S SHOW. CHARACTERS FROM DICKENS. British Wireless. Rugby, Nov. 10. Despite almost continuous rain, large crowds gathered in the streets to-day to witness the Lord Mayor’s Show. A pageant of London and Londoners based on four novels of Charles Dickens was the central feature of the procession that accompanied the new Lord Mayor, Sir Stephen Killick, in his famous coach, attended by postillions and footmen, to the Courts of Justice where the oath was taken.
