NEW ZEALAND LOSES
MELBOURNE CENTENARY POLO. PLAY UNDER WORST CONDITIONS. Rec. 1.2 a.m. Melbourne, Nov. 9. Polo was played to-day under the most unfavourable conditions. The Duke of Gloucester, however, witnessed some of the most exciting games. Results are:— New South Wales 18 defeated South Australia A 1. Queensland 9 defeated New Zealand 3. Johnson, New Zealand, strained a muscle and was unable to continue. South Australia B 21 beat Victoria B (received 9) 18.
