THREE CRIMINAL CASES MR. JUSTICE SMITH TO PRESIDE. EIGHT HEARINGS BEFORE JURY.

A fairly light calendar of cases is set down for hearing at the spring .sessions ' of the Supreme Court to be held at New Plymouth commencing on Monday. There are three criminal cases for trial and one prisoner to be sentenced. In the civil list five cases are for trial before the judge and a jury of 12 and five are to be heard by ' the judge alone.
