GENERAL NEWS ITEMS. The Kaimata Cricket Club held a working bee on Thursday afternoon with the object of laying down a new pitch in the football paddock. A total of 6.5 inches of rain was registered in the Kaimata district during October. Mrs. I. V. Buchanan, Junction Road, is spending a holiday at Qtaki. Miss V.' L. Muilqn spent the weekend at New Plymouth. Good progress is being made with the formation of the southern end of Suffolk Road. There is a good deal of influenza in the district, and a few cases of measles.
