TOC H BOYS’ CAMP

EFFORT TO RAISE FUNDS. SUCCESSFUL DANCE LAST NIGHT. Success attended the second annual dance last night of the New Plymouth group of Toe H in aid of funds for a camp for indigent boys. There was a large number of dancers present and the fund should benefit materially. The stage decorations were simple but effective. A black drop cloth bearing the Toe H symbol, the lamp, provided the background, while cherry blossoms scattered at the front of the orchestra presented sufficient colour to make the effect striking. A giant chandelier of black, white and gold hung in the centre of the hall, with miniatures scattered at intervals. The bareness of the walls was relieved by streamers of black, white and gold arranged in every fashion. The supper room was a mass of cherry blossom and excited the admiration of all. . The work was done by members of the group, while Mesdames W. H. Woodward, T. M. Avery, H. Wolfe and Misses M. Olson, M. Stokoe and J. Smith assisted with the supper arrangements. McNiell’s 1 dance band provided the music and Messrs. N. Rennie and J. Campbell played extras.

The group has already conducted three successful camps for boys in poor circumstances.
