COMPANIES’ COMMISSION CASE. SOLICITOR’S SUIT FOR DAMAGES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Notice has been filed in the Supreme Court, Wellington, by Martin Heywood Hampson, barrister and solicitor, Auckland, of discontinuance of his claim for £20,000 damages’ against the members of the Companies’ Commission, by whom certain recommendations were made -in respect of companies in which Hampson was interested. The claim was filed on September 19 against the three members of the commission, J. S. Barton, 5.M.,. Professor H. Belshaw and F. E. Graham. Hampson recently sailed for Sydney to give evidence before the Royal Commission which is inquiring into the conduct of certain trust companies.
