ELTSAM WOMEN’S GOLF MATCH. CHAMPIONS AT TEA. By six games to four the captain’s team beat the secretary’s in a match S played by the Eltham Ladies’ Golf Club a on Tuesday. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL. Mrs. R. D. M. McDonald won the junior championship of the Stratford Ladies’ Golf Club yesterday by defeating Miss E. Chadwick one up after a very close contest, Mrs. McDonald gaining her advantage at the last hole. Mrs. McDonald won the first hole and Miss Chadwick the second. Mrs. McDonald won the third and Miss Chadwick, taking a bogey three at the 4th, made the game all square. Miss Chadwick won the sth and 6th, and the 7th was halved in five. The Bth also went to Miss Chadwick and the 9th was halved, making Miss Chadwick three up at the turn. Mrs. McDonald won the 10th and Miss Chadwick the 11th. The next two went to Mrs. McDonald and the 14th being halved left Miss Chadwick 1 up. The 15th and 16th both went to Mrs. McDonald, but Miss Chadwick, with a bogey three at the 17th, squared the match. A win at the 18th, however, gave Mrs. McDonald the match and the championship. WAVERLEY WOMEN’S CLOSING. RECORD FOR ATTENDANCE. The women of the Waverley club held their closing day Tuesday. The afternoon was favourable and there was a record attendance. A four-ball match was played over nine holes. The winners were: Senior, Miss Morrison and Miss Train; junior, Mrs. Dallison and Miss Watkins. The putting competitions were won ’-y Mrs. Pepper (senior) and Miss Cleary (junior). Officers elected were: Mrs. D. Lupton, president; Mrs. G. Lupton, captain; Mrs. Dallison, secretary; Mrs. S. Aiken and Miss N. Mathieson, L.G.U. supervisors; Misses Train and Graham and officers, committee. Trophies won during the afternoon were presented by Mrs. G. Lupton.
