CARGO NOT WORKED
t DISPUTE ON THE WAIPIATA. DEADLOCK BETWEEN PARTIES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. No cargo work was done on the Union Company’s steamer Waipiata to-day owing to the dispute with the waterside workers continuing. It was the third day that the vessel has been idle. The company would not agree again to engage extra men as requested, and an official of the company was informed by the waterside workers that no work would be accepted at the vessel unless extra men were employed. In consequence no call for labour to load cargo for southern ports was made. There were six Union Company vessels in port and the only one working was the Aorangi, which arrived from Sydney in the morning. The other five, vessels were the steamers Kalingo, Waimarino, .Waipiata, Waimea and Pqolta,
