DEATH OF HORSEMAN
THROWN DIRECTLY ON HIS HEAD. PRACTISING FOR SHOW EVENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, Oct. 15. While practising jumping yesterday morning Peter Reginald Drummond, aged 17, was thrown from his horse and received injuries from which he later died in hospital. Drummond was very well known and exceptionally popular. He was schooling the horse with a view to competing at the A. and P. show when he was thrown directly on to his head.
