CONFERENCE OF BAPTIST UNION. • ADDRESSES GIVEN AT WELLINGTON By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Oct. 15. The Baptist Union Conference this morning welcomed the Rev. Alexander Hodge, the new minister at the Tabernacle, Auckland, and he was received as a member of the Baptist Union of New Zealand. Estimated payments for grants and other purposes were authorised to the extent of £2134. Addresses on behalf of the League of Nations, the New Zealand Alliance, and the Students’ Christian Union were delivered, and promises o’ support were given to deputations on behalf of the union. .
