U.S.A. GERMAN TRADE
TERMINATION OF THE TREATY.
NEGOTIATION NOW AWAITED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.30 p.m. Washington, Oct. 13. The German Government on Saturday moved to clarify its economic and financial relations with the United States by announcing its intention to terminate its unconditional most favoured nation commercial treaty with the United States on October 14, 1935. The German Ambassador, Herr Hans Luther, served official notice in a formal note to the Secretary of State Mr. Cordell Hull. At the same time Herr Luther is understood to have expressed the hope that a new reciprocal agreement without the most favoured nation clause, would be negotiated by the two Governments and that mutually profitable trade would continue. The treaty has governed trade between the two nations since 1925. <■-
