Mr. Lambie congratulated the Matapu club on winning the shield last year. The matches had been very closely contested, he said, and the interest in the competition maintained throughout the season, which was probably the most successful in the history of the association. The balance sheet, showed a debit of jd, owing to the loss from the dance

held to present the winners with the shield. Regret was expressed, that the Kaponga club would not be in the competition this season through the half-holiday difficulty. The election of officers resulted in the re-election of Mr. H. D. Lambie as president, Mr. Evetts as vice-president, and Mr. L. R. Pease as secretary and treasurer. The main business of the meeting was the revision of the rules. It was decided to increase the affiliation fee from 7s 6d to 10s. October 27 was decided upon for the commencement of the shield matches. It was decided to inaugurate a junior competition for the shield held by the association, the affiliation fee for junior teams to lie ss. The president and secretary were deputed to arrange details. The senior competing teams this season will be Okaiawa, Park (Hawera), St. Joseph's (Eltham), Matapu and Mangatoki.
