PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. The funeral of Mr. F. Bowling took place yesterday. There was a large attendance. The children from the school lined the road. The opening of the Tariki bowling green, which was to have been held on Thursday, had to be postponed, the ground not being in order owing to the wet weather in the previous week. A fowl belonging to Mr. S. Horsnell laid an egg larger than an ordinary duck’s egg and weighing almost 6oz. Mr. F. Laurence, Surrey Road, has returned home from the New Plymouth hospital.
