MORE RAILWAY TRAFFIC
RETURNS FOR GREAT BRITAIN. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5 p.m. Rugby, Oct. 10. Passenger journeys taken on the railways of Great Britain during the first half of 1934 showed an increase of 5.2 per cent, compared with the first six months of 1933. Freight tonnage carried for the first 28 weeks of 1934 was 10.4 per cent, greater than in the corresponding period of 1933.
