PRIMARY CRICKET
FITZROY TEAM COLLAPSES. CONVENT EASILY DISMISSED. The bowling of the White brothers was too steady for Fitzroy primary school cricket eleven, and Flannagan, who made two runs, and Collinson, who made one, were the only scorers, the total of the team being five. M. White took eight wickets for one run and B. White two for two. Waitara compiled 74, Andrews 26 and Preston 15, including two sixes. Farmer, Clow and Collinson divided the wickets. Fitzroy gathered 31 in its second strike (Flannagan si:, and Clow six). M. White bagged five wickets for seven runs. Waitara won by an innings and 40 runs. WESTOWN DEFEAT CONVENT. Convent took first strike against Westown, but Bigwodd proved too effective, and he and Miller dismissed the side for only seven runs. Westown gathered 53 runs (Bigwood 30) and then dismissed Convent again for 14. Westown won by an innings and 32 runs. Bigwood took 11 wickets and Miller five for Westown. For Convent Kurta took five.
