AUSTRALIAN TOUR ENDS

NORTH SCOTLAND DEFEATED AN INNINGS AND TWENTY RUNS. REVERSAL OF BATTING ORDER. O’REILLY HITS FOUR SIXES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 14. In the last match of the tour the Australians defeated North of Scotland at Forres by an innings and 20 runs. It was a happy day’s cricket of the village green standard. The umpires wore plus fours. Seventy minutes sufficed to dismiss North of Scotland for 48, .the lowest score against the Australians of the tour. The batsmen were extremely nervous, despite the fact that none of the bowlers was trying very hard. The whole affair was absurd from a cricket point of view. The Australians opened tail first. After O’Reilly had hit four sixes Kemp dismissed McCabe and Bradman with successive balls. The innings was carefree and lasted only 85 minutes. When Scotland batted the second time McCabe kept wickets instead of Barnett;, who opened the bowling, but the Scotsmen fared little better. The scores are:— NORTH OF SCOTLAND. First Innings.
