WOMEN CRICKETERS
TOUR OF AUSTRALIA.
ATTIRE UNDER CRITICISM.
London, Sept. 4.
The newspapers describe the dress of the women cricketers who are to tour Australia as unbecoming. Many criticisms have also come from onlookers at the Northampton game, when the Rest of England played the tourists a tie.
Men especially declare that t|ie girls would look better in flannel trousers. Mrs. Thomas, vice-president of the Australian Women’s Cricket Association, was impressed with the form of the tourists at Northampton, and says she thinks they will beat the Australian girls.
