Charles Prince was committed for trial on a charge of obtaining £l5 from the Murray Bridge Racing Club by falsely pretending that a certain horse entered by him in the Trial Stakes was the racehorse known as Redlock. Walter Rowe, Government analyst, told the court that some hair removed from the horse alleged to be Redlock yielded a dye. WAIKATO TROTTING CLUB. NOMINATIONS CLOSE TO-NIGHT. Owners and trainers of trotting horses are reminded that nominations for all events at the Waikato Trotting Club’s meeting at Claudelands on October 6 close with the secretary, Mr. ■’’L H. Allen, Hamilton, at 5 o’clock to-night.
