CLARRIE RAYNER WINS
DAL COSTA LOSES BRIGHT BOUT.

Dunedin, Last Night.
There was a fair attendance in the town hall last night .when Ciarrie Rayner, 8.131 (New Zealand), beat Dal Costa, B.loi (Australia) on points in a ten-round contest. The boxers gave a fine display of fast, open fighting, making the pace hot. Although the Australian was game he could not overcome the extra weight and superior strength of the New Zealander. Rayner built up a good lead in the earlier rounds, but towards the end Dal Costa scored points with lefts to the jaw though the blows lacked sting. >
