ASPIRING ROBINSON CRUSOES
More than 1000 inquiries about his plan to establish a Robinson Crusoe colony on Richard Island, off the: coast of Australia, have been received by Iva Menzies, the opera singer. Menzies recently bought the island and announced his plan to take a group of boys to be reared in the wjlds. He is taking a vacation in Highland, England. “It is amazing,” he said, “how many poor people have offered from $25 to $5OO to be used in the project, as I saw fit. Many married people have approached me saying they would’bring their own children or be responsible to someone else’s boy or girl.”
