TANGARAKAU WATER SUPPLY
FACILITIES FOR RAILWAY. A large gang of men is stationed at Tangarakau for installing the main water supply for the Railway Department. The old Public Works dam about three-quar-ters of a mile from the station and of a considerably higher level is being cleaned out. Two tanks are being installed i in the station yards so that engines from both directions will be able to fake water with little inconvenience. An enjoyable birthday party was held at the residence of Mrs. McKeich on Saturday evening in honour of her daughter, Miss Rona McKeich. The evening was spent in dancing and gamc» while numerous items were enjoyed. Mim McKeich was presented with a clock. Tangarakau has experienced some sunny days of late with the result that many enthusiastic tennis players are commencing the season early.
