ENDEAVOUR MORE BEAUTY
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Bristol (Rhode Island), Sept. 13. The Endeavour (British challenger) and the Rainbow (American defender) were given the final grooming to-day, preparatory to the opening of the contest for the America Cup on Saturday. The concensus of lay opinion is that there is little to choose between tire two yachts, with the palm of beauty and design going to the Endeavour. . A Newport cable states that, asked, to comment on London cables questioning the Rainbow’s adherence to the rules governing construction, Mr. T. O. M. Sopwith, owner of the Endeavour, said: “I intend to abide by the New York Yacht Club rules. I have no protests.”
