An allegation that he gave a Chinese laundryman £5O cash, because the latter suggested that it might be stolen from him, was made by a Chinese schoolboy aged 14 years in the Police Court when Stanley Yome, aged 44, was charged with stealing £5O belonging to Sang Fong. Accused made a counter-allegation that the boy gave him the money to buy opium, and they were to divide the profits. He asserted that he remitted the £5O to a Chinese in Sydney, and that he expected the opium to Yrrive by the Monowai next trip. He pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.
