ARRIVAL OF ESCORT WAITED.
CHARGES APPLY TO DOMINION.

Charged with having defrauded certain persons in New Zealand of £14,000 Charles Ernest Vickers, company manager, was remanded until to-day for the arrival of an escort from New Zealand. The police informed the court that Vickers was arrested as he was about to sail for Singapore. He was granted bail conditionally upon reporting to the detective office daily until the escort arrives.
