FINE AND MILDER WEATHER

LIGHT TO MODERATE WINDS.

Fine and milder weather in most districts is forecast with some light rain developing about Foveaux Strait and later on the West Coast of the South Island. Light to moderate southerly winds will prevail north of New Plymouth and Napier. Winds wiU be strong at first about the East Cape. Elsewhere winds are tending to be northerly, freshening and backing to the west soon, in the far south. Seas in New Zealand waters will be rather rough off the East Cape and about Foveaux Strait, elsewhere smooth to moderate. In the eastern Tasman there will be moderate north-westerly winds and moderate seas. An anti-cyclone of slight intensity covers the north Tasman and most of New Zealand. A shallow depression is advancing across the south Tasman.
