SNOWSTORM AT GISBORNE
SEVEN INCH DRIFTS IN PARTS.

Gisborne, Sept. 12.
A snowstorm of unusual severity has swept the hill country surrounding Gisborne for the last 24 hours. Heavy falls are reported in various parts of the district, seven inches being recorded at Tiniroto. It is not known yet to what extent early lambs have suffered.
