NEW DESTROYER LAUNCHED
CRUISING RANGE OF 6000 MILES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Mrs. Astley Rushton, wife of ViceAdmiral Astley Rushton, commander of the reserve fleet at Portsmouth, performed the naming ceremony at the launch of the destroyer Fury from the shipyard at East Cowes, Isle of Wight. The vice-admiral stated that the Fury had a cruising radius of about 6000 miles without refuelling so that she was virtually a cruiser.
