KAIMATA DISTRICT NEWS
Mrs. I. V. Buchanan, Kaimata, who underwent a serious operation in a New Plymouth private hospital on Tuesday, is progressing favourably. Miss D. Giddy, New Plymouth, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. O. S. Blackbourn, Mangaone Road. Mrs. L. Williams, Frankley Road, who has been visiting Mrs. L. . Dobson, Suffolk Road, has returned to New Plymouth.
Mr. H. Burwell, Kaimata South Road, is spending a short holiday at Hamilton. The competition held by the badminton club last week was won by Mrs. I. V. Buchanan.
The late spring this year is having a marked effect on the milk yield, which is much below the production of the same period last year. Mrs. G. Scott, formerly of Kaimata, underwent an operation at Hamilton recently.
