FEW COTTON MILLS RE-OPEN
HEAVY MILITARY PROTECTION.
UNITED STATES STRIKE CLASHES.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.50 p.m. Washington, Sept. 10. A few cotton mills reopened in the south to-day under heavy military protection. Clashes occurred in New England between pickets and company guards, several being injured.
