NOTED ARTIST DEAD
CAMBRIDGE SLADE PROFESSOR. AUTHORITY ON LITERATURE. British Wireless. Rugby, Sept. 10. The death has occurred of Mr. Roger i Fry, aged 67, Slade Professor of Fine Art at Cambridge. Mr. Fry was one of the most distinguished authorities bn ■ European art and the history of literature. He was the son of the date Sir Edward Fry. He was educated at Clifton and Cambridge, and after taking a degree in science devoted himself to art. He studied in London and Paris and has written extensively on art subjects.He had been Slade Professor of Fine Art jsince 1933, . K
