The high standard of dairying in the Dominion had become known to other countries and in 1922, by request, Mr. G. M. Valentine, Dairy Instructor, visited Fiji for the purpose of providing information and giving advice concerning the formation of co-operative dairy companies. While there, he found tire dairy cows were of a very low standard and was able to give help regarding herd building and the feeding and treatment of dairy cows.
