SAFETY CODE FOR CIVILIANS
CABINET DECIDES AGAINST ISSUE. FEAR OF MISLEADING THE PUBLIC. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.15 p.m. London, Sept. 10. The Government has decided to postpone the issue of a safety code for civilians during air raids, says the News Chronicle’s political correspondent. The majority of the Cabinet sub-committee decided such action might mislead the public into a belief that war was imminent.
