Mr. W. H. Batchelor will leave New Plymouth this morning on a business visit to the South Island. Mr. W. H. Huggett, electrical engineer to the New Plymouth Borough Council, is visiting Wellington on business.

He was a native of Greymouth and a borough councillor. He was knighted last year by Signor Mussolini in recognition of his very energetic work on behalf of the numerous Italian population at Greymouth. He was formerly a noted footballer.

Tait, chairman of the Kaponga Dairy Company directors, in moving a vote of sympathy with the relatives at the annual meeting of the company on Friday.
