WANGANUI TRACK GALLOPS. PREPARATIONS FOR MEETING. Wanganui, Sept. 8. The weather was fine and the tracks in good order for training operations this morning. King’s Knave and Lady Ruler were given useful work before breakfast, when Pomp ran five furlongs by himself. Canopy and Burnish ran the same distance together, and Rust and Spiral were companions over six furlongs. They were all good working gallops, but were not against the watch. After breakfast, Queenbeyan, Amante and Sunee were associated over five furlongs, Amante led early, but Sunee finished a length in front of her, with Queenbeyan a length further back. Hest beat Le Sable over five furlongs in 1.5 1-5. Shu led Dawn Princess over the ''first two furlongs of half a mile, but the latter was a shade in front at the end in 51 1-5. •' Korokio went five furlongs in 1.4 1-5, doing it well. Red Sun cleared two hurdles, and then ran seven furlongs in 1.33 3-5. No Humbug had a round of the schooling hurdles, jumping well. Midian, Blue Boy, Redeem, Entail, Lattice and Drawl did useful pacing. Dawn Princess has accepted for the Maiden Race. ALCIDES SCRATCHED. Wanganui, Sept. 8.
