Stating that the prisoner appeared to be the ringleader in a conspiracy, Judge White to-day sentenced a butcher, Walter Bruce Thompson, aged 35, to three months’ hard labour on a charge of fflse pretences. The judge said Thompson had permitted a man to tout off the tops of his fingers so that he could share in the compensation.
