Prince, owner-trainer of a horse called Redlock, and the horse were disqualified for life by the South Australian Jockey Club stewards. As he left the inquiry room Prince was arrested by detectives and later charged with having obtained stake money at Murray Bridge by falsely pretending that a certain, horse was Redlock. The horse was impounded It is alleged that the horse which won the race was Erbie. The real Redlock is now at Malmsbury, Victoria. The former Sydney horse Redlock recently caused a sensation in turf circles by- winning a race for which he was heavily backed at Murray Bridge, South Australia, thereby exciting the suspicion of the stipendiary stewards. It. was discovered that two horses had the registered brands and markings of Redlock. Racing under the name Redlock a horse won races at Murray Bridge and Kadina, but later another carrying the same marks of identification was found on & farm near Malmsbury and was inspected by Victorian Racing Club officials. Some weeks ago two men were arrested at the farm with a horse, which was turned loose, and no claim has been made for the animal since.
