A living from starfish is secured by Miss M. Hutchinson, a Californian artist. She makes them into ash trays and ornaments, using her own art to embellish that of Nature. Black Bay, Labrador, has a population of one. He is Mr. Ernest Doane, aged seventy, who years ago abandoned his business as a taxidermist to become a trapper in the Canadian wilds.
