FOOCHOW BANDIT MENACE
TROOPS ROUNDING UP BANDS.
JAPANESE ADMIRAL ARRIVES.

Following an aeroplane reconnaisance Central Government forces are now actively engaged rounding up scattered groups of the bandits, who are menacing Foochow. According to a military communique the bandits’ main line of communications has been cut. Rear-Admiral Niiyama, commandant of the Mako naval base at Pescadores Islands, has proceeded by destroyer to Foochow. It is understood there is a strict censorship.
