SUBMARINE MINING DEPOT
WORK BEGUN AT MILFORD HAVEN. REPORT OF SECRET BASE WRONG. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7 p.m. London, Aug. 4. Work has been commenced on a submarine mining depot at Milford Haven to meet the requirements in respect of modern high explosives. Newspaper reports of a secret naval base being constructed are inaccurate, as the work was approved by Parliament on May 15.
