REMOVAL OF A BUILDING
DECISION ON NELSON CIVIL CASE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Nelson, Aug. 4. At a recent sitting of the Supreme Court Mr. Justice Rded heard a civil case in which liquidators for the Premier Tobacco Company applied for art* interpretation of a lease with the Nelson City Council in respect of the company’s building on reclaimed land in Halifax Street. The liquidators claimed that the terms of "the lease gave them the right to remove the building.
His Honour has now given a reserved decision in which he states that the lease having been determined by forfeiture and re-entry, the plaintiffs have no right to remove the building.
