RAIN IN MOST DISTRICTS
COLD CHANGE EXPECTED SOON.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night.
The weather is expected to be unsettled and squally, with rain in most districts, but at first mainly in those with a westerly aspect, where some heavy falls are likely. Conditions will be mild, but a cold change is likely within the next 24 hours, with snow on the ranges. A rather intense depression still covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand, while an anti-cyclone is now moving on to eastern Australia. Northerly winds, backing to westerly and later to southerly, are expected. They should be moderate to strong generally and in places reaching gale force, Seas will be rather rough to rough.
