CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS

PATEA’S STRONG POSITION

THREE OTHER TEAMS HANDY. SATURDAY'S GAMES TO DECIDE. Patea’s chances of annexing the Taranaki Rugby championship look very bright. The next game will decide, as the final series of matches will see Patea play United at Stratford and Tukapa play Kaponga at Kaponga. Should each win Patea will retain its grip on the championship. A defeat to Patea will give Tukapa the championship, providing the latter wins, whilst if Patea is held to a draw a final would be necessary. Should both receive a check Stratford and Okaiawa will be in the running also. The championship points are:— Points Ch.
