GOVERNOR IN MARKETS
INTEREST IN LIFE OF PEOPLE. DISCUSSED WITH DEALERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Indicative of the great personal interest Their Excellencies the Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe take in almost every phase of life in the community was asurprise visit paid by them to the city markets this morning. Lord Bledisloe was particularly interested in the grading, packing and general get-up of the fruit and general produce, and discussed the cultivation of certain varieties of vegetables common to England and New Zealand. The Vice-Regal visitors conversed with several dealers, including some of the Chinese fruiterers.
