CYCLING AT INGLEWOOD
REEVE GAINS FIRST PLACE. FASTEST TIME TO C. BURKE. The Inglewood Cycle Club continued its series of road races for the club points cup yesterday with a race down the Mountain Road to the main road to Waitara and back to Inglewood. The race was won by Reeve. Excellent time was made to the turn, the scratch riders gaining very little. On the uphill homeward trip the scratch riders gained slowly and were unable to catch the limit riders. In a good sprint at the finish Reeve defeated Ballantine by a length. Results are:— Reeve (5J minutes) 1 K. Ballantine (51 minutes) 2 G. Candy (61 minutes) 3 C. Burke Gm) gained the fastest time in 49m.
