COMPENSATION AWARDED
ACCIDENT DURING EMPLOYMENT.
JUDGMENT GIVEN FOR £lOOO.

Judgment has been delivered by the Court of Arbitration in the case in which Gladwyn Armstrong Wynyard, claimed from the Daily Telegraph Comparty, Napier, compensation in respect of the death of Charles Robert Duncan, aged 60, an employee of the DailyTelegraph Company, who -died on October 29, 1932. The plaintiff is’ executor of Duncan’s estate. t The court has found that Duncans death was due to an accident arising out of his employment and has awarded £lOOO compensation, with costs. The evidence, according to the judgment, showed that Duncan became ill on October 28 but apparently recovered and went to work. On the following day he collapsed and died at 11.20 a.m.
