INDIAN LOAN IN INDIA
INCREASED CAPITAL ISSUES. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, May 31. Subscriptions for the issue of the Government of India 31 per cent, loan 1947-50 will be received from June 5. The loan is to be closed as soon as the total subscriptions amount to 32 crores of rupees (about £22,000,000) nominal value. According to statistics compiled by the Midland Bank, new capital issues for May amounted to £22,441,000, compared with £14,614,014 in May, 1933.
